Senior Property Accountant

Looking for a Senior Property Accountant to join a top property company, offering growth, autonomy, and leadership over key financial operations.

MARS Recruitment is working with a prominent property investment company to recruit a talented Senior Property Accountant. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee the financial operations related to property performance, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all tasks. Your responsibilities will include managing the general ledger, completing month-end processes, preparing management reports, analysing financial statements, producing statutory reports, and contributing to board presentations.

The right candidate will bring solid experience in the property industry, along with strong technical accounting skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the accurate maintenance of the general ledger.
  • Managing the month-end close process, including balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Coordinating the preparation of quarterly financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
  • Producing monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet analyses.
  • Assisting in the creation of monthly management reports.
  • Contributing to the preparation of the Annual Statutory Financial Report.
  • Providing support and insights for the preparation of reports for the Board and its Committees.
  • Participating in ERP system implementation and data migration efforts.
  • Proactively recommending and driving process improvements.
  • Communicating financial insights effectively and promptly to other business units.
  • Preparing audit files and addressing auditor inquiries.


Criteria:

  • 7+ years of experience in accounting and finance
  • CA/CPA/ACCA qualified
  • Experience in the property and real estate sector
  • Prior experience with property accounting software (MRI) is essential
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
  • Strong technical accounting expertise
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Energetic, perceptive, and self-motivated
