MARS Recruitment are partnering with a leading Mining organisation who are seeking a contractor to join them for a period of 3 months in Mudgee. The Senior Mine Accountant will play a key role in overseeing the financial performance of operations, delivering timely and insightful reporting and analysis to key stakeholders, including the Senior Leadership Team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver month-end management reports on operational performance and capital expenditure.
• Develop and analyse life-of-mine plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Evaluate capital projects to assess feasibility and financial impact.
• Support cost owners with cost control measures and variance analysis.
• Reconcile bank statements.
• Process payments and invoices.

Requirements & Notes:

• CA/CPA required.
• Open to Working Holiday Visa holders.
• Currently undertaking a Financial Accounting role within industry and now be looking to take a step into a broader and more broader finance position.
• You will have a strong technical accounting aptitude and impressive communication skills.
• Mining background would be advantageous.
