MARS Recruitment is partnering with a leading investment management company to find an experienced Senior Fund Accounting Manager with a Real Assets background. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic organisation that values innovation and excellence in fund management. As the Senior Fund Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing investor financial reporting, lender obligations, and compliance reporting. You will manage ongoing finance operations for various funds and products while ensuring accuracy and transparency in all financial matters.

The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in the fund sector focused on real assets, along with exceptional technical accounting skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding a high-performing team and driving strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and profitability.


Responsibilities:

• Ensure the accurate maintenance of the general ledger for all funds and products.
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive investor reports, including performance reports, capital calls, and distribution statements.
• Manage the settlement process for fund transactions, ensuring timely processing of contributions, distributions, and cash movements.
• Develop and maintain cash flow forecasting models to optimise liquidity management.
• Conduct periodic reporting cycles to assess financial performance and identify strategic improvement opportunities.
• Implement initiatives to drive value for the company, including optimising accounting practices, data flows, and technology platforms.
• Lead and mentor a team of fund accounting professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Criteria:

• 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry
• CA/CPA/ACCA qualified
• Big 4 experience is an advantage
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• Strong technical accounting expertise
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills
• Energetic, perceptive, and self-motivated
