MARS Recruitment is working with a well-established ASX-listed organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Financial Accountant for a temporary-to-permanent opportunity. This critical role is essential in delivering accurate and timely financial, managerial, and regulatory reporting. The Senior Financial Accountant will take ownership of managing the general ledger, overseeing the month-end close process, preparing management accounts, analysing profit and loss statements and balance sheets, compiling statutory financial reports, and supporting board reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accurately maintaining the general ledger.
• Completing the month-end close process, including balance sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinating quarterly financial accounts in accordance with IFRS.
• Preparing monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet analyses.
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management reports.
• Assisting in the preparation of the Annual Statutory Financial Report.
• Supporting and providing input into the preparation of reports for the Board & Board Committees.
• Contributing to ERP system implementation and data migration.
• Proactively making recommendations and engaging in process improvements.
• Effectively communicating financial information to other business units in a timely manner.
• Compiling audit files and managing auditor queries.

Criteria:

• 4+ years of post-qualification experience
• CA/CPA/ACCA qualified
• Experience with process improvement and systems implementation is highly regarded
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time management skills
• Energetic, astute, and motivated
