Performance Manager - Strategy & Transformation

MARS are working on an exciting opportunity for a Performance Manager to join a high-impact Executive Office team within a major financial services organisation. This is a newly created role designed to support strategic priorities, drive cost optimisation, and contribute to large-scale technology and operational transformation.

This is not a traditional BAU role - it's a unique chance to work directly alongside executive leadership to tackle critical business problems, support strategic planning, and help shape the future of technology and operations.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Technology, Finance, and Risk to identify performance improvement opportunities
  • Supporting strategic initiatives such as budget optimisation, capability uplift, and vendor/licensing rationalisation
  • Building compelling narratives and insights through structured problem-solving, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement
  • Contributing to executive-level presentations, operating model design, and continuous improvement projects
  • Owning your own area of impact within a lean, high-performing team, with the opportunity to scale and grow into broader strategic initiatives

Key skills:

  • 1-3 years' experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or transformation roles
  • A natural problem solver with strong analytical capability and structured thinking
  • Excellent communicator with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and driving outcomes across multiple workstreams
  • Proficiency with Excel or BI tools is a bonus, but not essential

Why This Role?

  • High visibility role working closely with the Executive Office and senior leadership
  • No BAU grind - every week presents new challenges and opportunities to add value
  • Growth-focused environment - the team is passionate about developing talent and giving you room to step up
  • Flexible working, collaborative culture, and a team that values fresh thinking and ownership
  • If you're someone who loves solving complex problems, working with smart people, and making a genuine impact - we'd love to hear from you.
