Start the New Year with an exciting locum contract! MARS Recruitment is seeking experienced Anaesthetic and Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurses for an opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive healthcare environment in Northern NSW!

About this contract:

Join a well-equipped facility offering a comprehensive range of surgical services, including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, gynecology, and more. As an Anaes/PACU RN, you'll be an essential part of the perioperative team, ensuring safe and effective care for patients during and after surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Anaesthetic Nursing: Assist anesthetists during surgical procedures, monitor patients' vital signs, and ensure safe induction and recovery.
• PACU Nursing: Provide close observation and critical care to patients immediately post-surgery, managing pain, monitoring airways, and ensuring stability.
• Patient Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs are met and communicating effectively with surgical teams.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle adverse events or complications with professionalism and expertise.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery plans.
• Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

What's on Offer?

• Contract Length: 4 weeks + (New Year start)
• Hourly Rate: $40.92 - $54.56 per hour + Super (based on experience) + Contractor Bonus
• Accommodation: Provided at no cost
• Travel: Reimbursed or pre-arranged
• Roster: 38 hours per week, with additional hours available at casual rates

What You Need

• Current AHPRA Registration
• Minimum 2 years of Anaesthetic/PACU experience
• Full working rights in Australia (no visa sponsorship available)
• ACLS Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Proven ability to manage critical care patients' post-anesthesia
• NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to apply
