Occupational Therapist/Senior | Rockingham & Surrounds

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist that values a supportive and diverse team environment? Our client, a growing provider of healthcare services, is seeking dynamic and dedicated Occupational Therapists or Senior Occupational Therapists to join their vibrant team. This role offers flexibility, a supportive work environment, and the opportunity to work with diverse participants across the lifespan (0-65) with both physical and mental health needs.

Due to recent growth within their Allied Health division they are looking for an experienced OT who's looking for a new opportunity, potentially looking for a step up to a senior position, or a Senior OT looking to share their skills and knowledge within the wider team. As a not for profit organisation, they are focused on providing high levels of care and support to the community and working with a range of physical and mental disabilities to promote individuals wellbeing and livelihoods.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, interventions, and evaluations.
  • Prescribe and recommend specialised assistive technology and mobility aids.
  • Develop tailored intervention plans and strategies in collaboration with participants.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance daily living activities and independence.
  • Perform in-home assessments to determine participants' functional performance.
  • Undertake Functional Capacity Assessments and establish goals with participants.
  • Prepare detailed reports identifying participant needs, assistive technology (including complex AT), and home modification requirements.
  • Educate participants and their families on the implementation of interventions.
  • Evaluate service effectiveness and outcomes based on participant goals.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures, and policies within the Therapy Services Team.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration.
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
  • Current Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, and NDIS Worker Screening.
  • Proven experience in working with individuals with disabilities, psychosocial disabilities, families, and carers.
  • Strong commitment to dignity, respect, inclusion, and empowerment of participants.
  • Skilled in evaluating functional needs and providing advanced clinical advice to peers.
  • Experience in supervising assistants/support staff and contributing to quality improvement and research activities is desired
