Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Clinician to join our clients team in regional Western Australia. This role focuses on supporting young people aged 12-25 who are experiencing or are at risk of mental illness and suicide. As this position is based outside of the metro area, candidates will either need to be located within these regional locations, or work on a DIDO basis.

About the Role


As a Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Clinician, you will:

  • Provide trauma-informed and culturally safe support for young people and their families.
  • Conduct mental health and suicide risk assessments to determine appropriate care pathways.
  • Work closely with emergency departments, community mental health teams, and GPs to improve service integration.
  • Deliver psycho-education, safety planning, and family support interventions.
  • Engage in outreach activities, including school and community-based mental health programs.


What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mental health, ideally in a youth setting.
  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Mental Health Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, or Counselling (with full registration/membership).
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed and culturally secure practices.
  • Excellent communication and case management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while being part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Current Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance, and Driver's Licence.
