Marketing Manager

Working for a prominent player in the Asia Pacific region, specializing in the provision of various automotive-related products and services, you will be responsible for accelerating growth and market share of the Private Label brands.

Our client is an ASX-listed organization with a significant market presence and have a diverse range of businesses encompassing trade, wholesale, and retail segments, serving a wide customer base.

You will be a valued member of an emerging team within their organization, contributing to strategic brand decisions and executing various brand-building and tactical initiatives aimed at enhancing awareness and engagement among their staff, customers, and end-users.

The Role:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for evolving and embodying the brand's Vision and Purpose in every aspect of the business unit. You will ensure that all stakeholders-team members, customers, and shareholders-consistently represent the brand. This includes developing and executing the brand strategy, creating and maintaining brand guidelines, collaborating with internal teams and external partners, and tracking brand performance metrics.

This role is crucial in driving the company's growth by generating demand and delivering results through various marketing and brand initiatives. A key aspect of the role is balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders, maintaining consistency, and optimizing efficiency.

Private Label Marketing and Brand Strategy

  • Assist the Head of Marketing in developing the Business Unit and Private Label brand strategies, as well as supporting quarterly and annual business planning for the group
  • Contribute to the development of the Business Unit and Private Label portfolio strategy, including category, channel, and distribution considerations, while identifying competitive advantages.
  • Support long-term planning and forecasting initiatives.

Business Unit and Private Label/Exclusive Brand Portfolio

  • Manage the Private Label lifecycle and product deletions in collaboration with the business.
  • Conduct brand portfolio analysis, rationalization, and planning, identifying gaps, profit opportunities, and brand architecture/stretch.
  • Align the portfolio with channels, customers, and pricing strategies.
  • Develop and manage brand guidelines, positioning, value propositions, and packaging templates for a portfolio of Private Label and supplier brands, ensuring consistent activation and trademark management.
  • Build and optimize brand assets and content for digital, print, and customer marketing channels, while ensuring brand consistency across all touchpoints.

Channel, Customer Marketing, and Activation Management

  • Create and execute Go-To-Market plans for brand/product launches, including pricing strategies, key selling channels, and marketing support to drive customer demand.
  • Lead media campaigns and digital marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness, customer engagement, and conversion, aligning with commercial objectives.
  • Collaborate with external agencies (branding, design, media) to execute strategic priorities and support brand and customer strategies.
  • Manage the annual marketing activity plan, budget, and campaigns targeting channels and customers, ensuring alignment with business goals, timely execution, and budget adherence.

Private Label Brand Measurement/Reporting

  • Utilize the support of the Marketing Specialist and Marketing Automation team to track Private Label Brand health, equity, performance, and campaign ROI.
  • Manage budget and spend for brand and customer activities.

Insights and Analysis

  • Gain a deep understanding of product categories, channels, customers, suppliers, and the competitive landscape to inform target audience strategies.
  • Leverage existing data, research reports, and industry insights to provide actionable recommendations that drive marketing and brand strategies.

About You:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required. MBA preferred, but not mandatory.
  • 5+ years of solid Product Marketing experience with exposure to the full marketing mix, ideally in Retail, FMCG, Hardware, or Automotive sectors (B2B and B2C).
  • Brand management experience and a proven track record in executing marketing campaigns with the ability to think commercially and drive results.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of retail marketing, digital/social content strategy, and best practices in the field.
  • Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Solid financial acumen, including managing campaign budgets and measuring/reporting on ROI.
