About the Role:

Mars Healthcare is seeking an experienced Locum Mental Health Clinician for a 12-week contract with an Emergency Consultation Service in Regional NSW. This role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience to provide immediate and critical mental health support in an emergency setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert mental health consultation services in an emergency environment.
• Conduct assessments, crisis interventions, and develop immediate care plans.
• Work closely with emergency department staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide support and resources to patients and their families during crises.
• Ensure continuity of care by coordinating with community mental health services post-discharge.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant mental health field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mental health setting, preferably in emergency or acute care.
• Current registration with the appropriate Australian professional body (e.g., AASW, AHPRA).
• Strong crisis intervention skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
