Are you a Senior Speech Pathologist looking for a locum contract working in Regional South Australia? This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact across outpatient, inpatient, and aged care services, while also playing a key leadership role in supporting early-career clinicians-all while working in a stunning regional location.
As a Clinical Senior Speech Pathologist, you'll provide high-quality speech pathology services to adults across acute, subacute, and aged care within a hospital. Beyond clinical work, you'll take on delegated senior responsibilities, including mentoring and supervising new graduate and early-career clinicians. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure best-practice care while driving service development initiatives.
✅ Provide assessment and intervention for adult patients with communication and swallowing disorders across inpatient, outpatient, and aged care settings.
✅ Support and mentor junior speech pathologists, offering clinical supervision and professional development.
✅ Assist in service development, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical governance.
✅ Work closely with senior leadership to implement best-practice standards and ensure effective service delivery.
✅ Engage in team collaboration with multidisciplinary health professionals.

🔹 Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and current SPA registration.
🔹 Significant experience in adult speech pathology across OP, IP, and aged care settings.
🔹 Experience in mentoring/supervising new graduate and early-career clinicians.
🔹 Strong leadership and ability to take on clinical senior responsibilities as delegated.
🔹 Knowledge of NDIS, aged care funding models, and hospital-based services (desirable).
