Interim CEO - High-Performing, Fully Accredited Aged Care Facility | South West Sydney

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim CEO to lead a fully accredited, high-performing aged care facility in South West Sydney. This role offers the chance to drive operational excellence, financial sustainability, and exceptional care for residents.

This position is an Interim CEO position with potential to transition to permanent employment.

  • Competitive Salary range: circa $250k base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales, Marketing & Finance: Maximise occupancy, lead marketing strategies, optimise residential payments (RAD & daily fees), and manage budgets and financial reporting with the Group Accountant.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation. Negotiate and manage Enterprise Agreements with staff.
  • Staffing & Assessment: Assess staffing and resource needs, ensure optimal ACFI classification for funding, and manage statutory funding within budget.
  • Strategic Planning: Align facility plans, policies, and procedures with residents' rights and Department of Health requirements. Lead quality improvement initiatives and support staff development.
  • Operational Leadership: Direct staff rosters, delegate responsibilities, coordinate with allied health professionals, and represent the facility in industry and community forums.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven leadership in aged care, particularly at senior management level.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and Department of Health funding mechanisms.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in staff management, including recruitment, retention, and development.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Registered by the NSW Nurses Registration Board as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in a relevant area of nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Management.
  • At least 5 years' experience in residential care facility management.
