MARS Recruitment is partnering with an ASX listed fund management company to find a highly skilled and commercially minded FP&A Manager for a 6-month contract. In this pivotal role, you will join the finance team and contribute to shaping the organisation's financial future. In this pivotal role, the FP&A Manager will provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making and long-term planning. Key responsibilities include leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes while delivering in-depth financial analysis to drive performance and inform business strategy. As a business partner to senior management, you will translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations that guide the company toward achieving its goals.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, a commercial mindset, creative problem-solving skills, and exceptional communication capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end financial planning process, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic planning.
- Provide in-depth analysis of business performance, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities. Offer data-driven insights to influence strategic decisions.
- Partner with department heads and cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with business initiatives, driving collaboration and ensuring financial goals are met.
- Build sophisticated financial models to support scenario analysis, forecasting, and decision-making on key projects and investments.
- Develop and deliver regular management reports, presenting financial performance, forecasts, and variance analysis to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Continuously review and improve financial planning, reporting, and analysis processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive team, providing clear and concise financial analysis that supports business growth and operational efficiency.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalise on growth opportunities.
Criteria:
- 10+ years' experience in financial analysis
- ASX listed experience required
- CA/CPA/ACCA/CFA qualified
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent knowledge of financial modelling and forecasting techniques
- Proficiency in financial software and tools i.e. Hyperion / Power BI
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
