MARS are partnering with a growing SME who looking for a Financial Accountant to lead their finance function including month end, payroll, cashflow forecasting, P&L analysis and accounts payable.

The Responsibilities:

• Compile precise financial statements and coordinate month-end closing activities.
• Update and track cashflow reports to ensure reliable forecasting.
• Lead and guide the accounting team.
• Conduct regular balance sheet reviews and reconciliations.
• Review and analyse Profit and Loss statements.
• Prepare and submit statutory reports, including BAS, PAYG, and payroll tax.
• Support Accounts Payable operations by managing vendor payments, processing invoices, and preparing reports for the Managing Director.
• Preparation of payroll and reporting.

The Requirements:

• Part or CA/CPA qualified.
• Minimum 3 years' commercial experience.
• Proficiency in using Xero and Salesforce. (Preferable)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Experience in the Events, Retail or Hospitality industries. (Preferable)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Not considering first-movers from audit.
• Commercial experience is a must have.
