Mars Recruitment is excited to announce our partnership with a Financial Services firm in Sydney. They are currently seeking a talented Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. This role presents a distinctive opportunity to leverage your accounting expertise and skills, contributing to meaningful and impactful work.

The Responsibilities:

• Assisting in preparing monthly consolidated reporting packs.
• Supporting finance managers during annual statutory accounts audits and tax returns.
• Overseeing end-to-end management of AP & AR functions.
• Contributing to month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations for Bank Accounts, AP & AR accounts.
• Managing monthly intercompany invoicing and reconciling intercompany balances.
• Preparing and lodging monthly and quarterly BAS returns.
• Initiating improvements and efficiencies in systems, technology, and financial controls.

The Requirements:

• Possessing 2-4 years of hands-on experience in a similar role within Financial Services or Funds.
• Holding CA/CPA qualification.
• Keen eye for detail and showcasing multitasking abilities to meet deadlines effectively.
• Demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills to achieve desired outcomes.
