The opportunity

As Corporate Development Analyst, you will play a key role in identifying and evaluating M&A opportunities, driving internal growth strategies, optimising the asset portfolio, and contributing to other strategic planning initiatives.

Reporting to the Group Manager, you will be part of a small, high-performing team, collaborating closely with Strategy, Exploration, Technical, Finance, and Legal functions. This dynamic role offers variety and challenge, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting financial modelling and valuation activities, collaborating with technical experts and integrating due diligence findings
• Maintaining and managing databases and registers to support the monitoring and analysis of potential opportunities
• Preparing high-quality papers and reports for presentation to Executives and the Board
• Actively participating in investment decision steering committees, providing valuable input alongside senior leadership

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Bachelor's degree; Commerce, Economics, Business or other related field
• Minimum 3 years' experience with an investment bank, PE firm and/or in-house CF team
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills, combined with strong commercial acumen
• Proven expertise in due diligence and valuation processes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders to drive successful outcomes
