Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Business Partner to join our clients dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will act as a key business partner to senior management, providing insightful financial analysis and strategic guidance to support decision-making processes across the company. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of financial performance, business drivers, and value creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, sales, and marketing, to align financial and business strategies with organizational objectives.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting: Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations on key business initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
• Commercial Decision Support: Deliver actionable insights and support key stakeholders in making data-driven decisions to drive profitability, growth, and operational efficiency.
• Cost Management: Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities, managing budgets, and enhancing cost structures across departments.
• Risk & Opportunity Assessment: Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, providing guidance to mitigate risks and maximize business value.
• Business Forecasting & Planning: Lead and support the preparation of business forecasts and long-term strategic planning.
• Performance Monitoring: Track business performance against KPIs and provide regular reports on financial outcomes, variances, and corrective actions.
• Project Support: Provide financial support for key business projects and initiatives, ensuring proper financial oversight and alignment with organizational goals.

Key Requirements

• Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA/CA qualification is essential for this role.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial finance or business partnering role, preferably within an ASX-listed or large corporate environment.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance metrics.
• Analytical Skills: Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior management and cross-functional teams.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
• Systems Knowledge: Proficient in financial systems (e.g., ERP software, Excel) and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
• Team Player: Collaborative with a strong work ethic, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
