MARS Recruitment is partnering with an ASX Listed financial services organisation seeking to grow its core finance team with the addition of an Assistant Accountant. This team plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and providing valuable insights to support business decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing daily finance operations, including processing repayments, uploading bank statements, and following up on unreconciled transactions.
• Preparing and processing daily pay runs and uploading payments into banking systems.
• Handling month-end activities for Retail and Wholesale Lending Platforms.
• Recording invoices and bills in the accounting system while completing bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Posting manual journal entries for month-end financial reporting.
• Assisting with BAS return preparation.

Requirements & Notes:

• Studying towards CA/CPA qualification.
• Currently undertaking an Assistant Accounting role within industry and now be looking to take a step into a broader finance position.
• Financial Services experiences would be advantageous.
• NetSuite & Xero experience would be highly regarded.
• Flexible work from home arrangements.
