Aged Care Resident Wellbeing Coordinator

Ready to put the "fun" back in "functional"?

We're looking for a Resident Wellbeing Coordinator who's not afraid to think outside the bingo box! You'll be the mastermind behind exciting programs that keep the residents engaged, active, and - most importantly - smiling. Whether it's hosting a lively game of "musical chairs" (literally), organising a themed party, or creating a calming yoga class, you'll bring joy and a sense of community to everyone in the facility. Think of it as being the social butterfly for the most fun and fabulous crew of older adults.

What You'll Bring: You've got energy, creativity, and the kind of positive attitude that makes people want to join in the fun! You're a natural at making others feel at ease, and you've got a heart as big as your to-do list. If you've ever turned a dull afternoon into an unforgettable event, then you're the person we need. Bonus points if you've got a secret talent for making people laugh.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create & Lead Awesome Programs: Plan and run activities that keep residents' bodies, minds, and spirits thriving-no dull moments allowed! Whether it's exercise, arts, or music, you'll keep things fresh and exciting.
  • Get Personal: Work with residents, their families, and staff to tailor programs that are as unique as each individual. After all, no two people want the same thing (except maybe cake).
  • Keep It Fun & Fresh: Regularly assess what's working, what's not, and make tweaks to keep residents engaged, happy, and involved. We like to keep it spicy!
  • Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate lifestyle activities with residents' care plans. After all, fun is better when it's part of the bigger picture.
  • Event Planning Extraordinaire: Whether it's a birthday bash, a holiday celebration, or a simple afternoon tea, you'll be the behind-the-scenes wizard making sure every event is a hit.
  • Foster a Happy Community: Create a welcoming, fun atmosphere where residents feel encouraged to participate and let their personalities shine.
  • Paperwork, but Make it Fun: Keep track of activities, attendance, and feedback. Yep, you'll have to write some reports, but we'll try to make it as fun as possible.
  • Volunteer Superhero: Rally the volunteers to help enhance the experience for residents, ensuring no one is left out of the fun!

What You'll Need:

  • A Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or something similar) - because knowledge is power (and fun).
  • A Current Police Check and Working with Children Check (We like to play it safe).
  • Level II First Aid certification (because sometimes fun needs a safety net).
  • At least 12 months' experience in a similar role in aged care (so you're not new to the gig).
  • Excellent communication skills - if you can charm a room full of people, you're already halfway there.
  • A flair for creativity - because a good activity is anything but boring.
  • Empathy and a big, warm heart (because you genuinely care about making the residents' lives better).
  • Proof of COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations (because we like to keep everyone safe and healthy).

Why You'll Love This Job:

  • Unleash Your Creativity: From themed parties to impromptu dance-offs, the sky's the limit on what you can create.
  • Make a Real Impact: Your work will bring joy, laughter, and a sense of community to the lives of those who need it most.
  • Work with a Great Team: You'll be joining a crew that knows how to work hard, have fun, and make a difference.
  • Be the Spark: You'll be the one lighting up the room with energy and enthusiasm every day.

If you're ready to take your career in aged care to the next level and make a real difference in the lives of residents (while having a blast doing it), this is the role for you! Apply today to join a fun, dynamic team where every day is a chance to bring joy to someone's life.
