Position Overview:
The Part-Time Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time, while providing support to the wider finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking for a flexible, part-time role in a supportive and dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage all accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues with vendors.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports on accounts payable activity.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as any applicable regulations.
  • Manage vendor inquiries, resolving any issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate supplier records and data in the accounting system.
  • Support the finance team with any other ad hoc tasks and projects as required.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an accounts payable or similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software (experience with Xero or similar systems is an advantage).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Previous experience in the property development industry is advantageous but not essential.

Working Hours:
This is a part-time position, with flexible hours offered to suit the successful candidate. The role is expected to be approximately 25 - 30 hours per week.
