Seeking a Line 1 Risk and Compliance Manager to enhance risk maturity and compliance in the Markets division of a leading financial institution.
Mars Recruitment is seeking a Risk and Compliance Manager to join our client's Markets Risk & Compliance team. In this role, you will support the Line 1 Partner in strengthening risk and compliance maturity across the Markets division. You will play a key role in embedding best practices, enhancing organisational resilience, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement Evidence-Based Compliance and Compliance by Design methodologies.
Conduct compliance assessments across regulatory obligations for the Markets division.
Support risk profile reviews and assessments, driving risk reporting automation.
Work with SMEs to develop risk management strategies and prioritise mitigation efforts.
Advise on risk and compliance issues, ensuring alignment with risk appetite.
Provide insights into business strategy and plans with a balanced, objective approach.
Key Requirements:
A minimum of 5 year's experience in Risk and Audit within Financial Markets.
Strong background in designing and testing controls through regulatory audits or assurance programs.
Ability to enhance organisational resilience in automated environments.
Technology driven with strong system usage experience.
Proven track record in stakeholder management and building strong relationships.
Expertise in risk assessments, control testing, and compliance reporting.
Ability to challenge the status quo and quickly grasp key concepts in a highly regulated environment.
