Permanent Client Manager job opportunity with a bespoke accounting advisory firm located in Melbourne’s Inner Northern Suburbs
Position Summary:
The Client Manager is responsible for managing a team of bookkeepers and overseeing a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting, advisory, and consulting services. This role focuses on maintaining strong client relationships, managing projects, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables, and supporting business growth while mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Team management
Payroll Processing and Legislative Knowledge
Bank reconciliations
Credit card reconciliations
Accounts Payable processing including bill entry, review of GL coding
Payment preparation/processing
Accounts Receivable processing including creation of invoices, debtor management
Management of the integrity and accuracy of client financial reports - P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow
Ability to research and interpret accounting principles, apply to client situations and problem solve autonomously
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of relevant experience in accounting or advisory services.
Demonstrated people management experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and business advisory.
Proven experience managing client relationships and projects.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
