MARS Recruitment is collaborating with a well-established Funds Manager in the search for a Senior Tax Manager. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, high-performing team within a fast-growing organisation, taking ownership of tax compliance and advisory functions. In this role, you will ensure compliance with corporate, personal, and indirect tax laws, while serving as the key point of contact for all taxation matters across the Group and its Fund Manager Partners.

To succeed, you'll bring extensive experience in a tax advisory role, a strong background in managing complex client portfolios, and proven expertise in funds management.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare annual taxation returns with accuracy and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage BAS and annual payroll tax returns, ensuring timely and precise submissions.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential tax risks for corporate entities and investment funds.
• Provide clear and strategic tax advice on PAYG, superannuation, GST, and other tax-related obligations.
• Provide tax guidance on the launch of new funds, complex transactions, business restructuring, and new business initiatives.
• Develop and contribute to comprehensive tax planning strategies to support business objectives.
• Prepare detailed Tax Due Diligence memorandums for new fund product launches.
• Respond to ad hoc taxation matters and provide timely, well-informed advice as required.

Criteria:

• 10+ years' experience in a tax advisory role
• CA/CPA qualified
• Experience managing complex client portfolios
• Proven experience in funds management
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• Strong understanding of complex tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines effectively
