Mental Health Clinical Coordinator

This role is pivotal in managing one of the dynamic and successful mental health centres within a regional location, around an hour away from the CBD. You'll be part of a nationwide network that are committed to ensuring young Australians are mentally healthy, engaged, and connected to their communities.

About the Role
Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will be a key leader at a mental health clinic in Regional WA. This role involves providing clinical leadership, management, and supervision of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective and client-focused service delivery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the Centre Manager to deliver youth-friendly mental health services.
  • Overseeing the daily operations identifying service gaps, and supporting growth to achieve full headspace site status.
  • Building and strengthening networks with internal and external stakeholders, including Aboriginal Elders and Consortium partners.
  • Managing intake services for young people, community members, and professionals.
  • Providing clinical leadership, supervision, and support to the team in delivering mental health care.
  • Conducting psycho-social assessments using tools to determine service suitability.
  • Representing and promoting in external forums and professional settings.

About You
We're seeking an experienced professional with a passion for mental health and leadership. To be considered, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, occupational therapy, or mental health nursing.
  • Current registration with AHPRA or full membership with AASW.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience working with individuals and families facing mental health challenges, including suicide risk and self-harm.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and engagement.
  • Experience preparing reports and making evidence-based recommendations.
  • Strong time management skills, prioritisation ability, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and experience engaging with Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and culturally diverse communities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • A valid C-class driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Flexibility to work one late shift per week.
