Key Responsibilities:

As a Mental Health Registered Nurse in the inpatient unit, your duties will include:

• Conducting Comprehensive Mental Health Assessments: Identifying patient needs and establishing tailored care pathways.
• Performing Mental Health Risk Assessments: Evaluating patient safety and addressing potential risks.
• Coordinating Inpatient Care: Developing and implementing treatment plans for individuals in an inpatient setting.
• Managing Complex Cases: Ensuring continuity of care through regular monitoring and timely interventions.
• Delivering Evidence-Based Interventions: Providing support and care for individuals with a range of mental health conditions.
• Clopine Clinician: Expertise in monitoring and managing patients on clozapine therapy.
• Administering Depot Injections: Ensuring adherence to long-term medication treatment plans.

About the Role:

As a Locum Registered Nurse with MARS, you will be required to work full-time hours on a rotating roster for the contract period. Whether you choose a 12-week or 13-week contract, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to patients within an inpatient mental health unit. You'll develop trust and rapport with patients, providing emotional support, monitoring their mental health and wellbeing, and educating family members about ongoing treatment plans and guidance.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: Up to $59.08 per hour + Super + contractor bonus up to $500 + T&C's apply*
  Meal allowance - Total: $144.15 per day
  Accommodation: Provided via the facility
  Travel: Reimbursed per KM if driving or pre-arranged bus/flights
  Schedule: 38 hours per week with additional hours available.

  • Saturday all hours - 50%
  • Sunday all hours - 75%
  • Public Holiday all hours - 150%

What We Need From You:

• Experience in Mental Health Nursing at RN3+ level or above.
• Unrestricted AHPRA Registration.
• Full Working Rights in Australia (no visa/sponsorship available for these temporary roles).
• Credentialed Bachelor of Nursing Degree with Mental Health qualifications.
• NSW WWCC (or willingness to obtain).
• Minimum 2 years postgraduate experience.
• Car and Driver's License - Case-by-case consideration for those without a car.
