Learning Design Consultant

Leverage your expertise in Learning Design by joining a long-established Australian finance and insurance corporation.

About the Job

In this role, you will be responsible for designing high-quality learning products and services that complement and contribute to our client's strategy. You will work with key stakeholders, colleagues, and vendors/partners to design, develop, and maintain learning solutions. You will provide best-practice advice on learning solutions to enhance learning quality and workforce capability. This role reports to the Learning Design Manager and collaborates closely with other areas of the business.

My client is a reputable Australian finance and insurance corporation that provides a wide range of financial products and services, including insurance, banking, and wealth management. They are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Learning & Development professional who is ready to jump in and make an immediate impact!

Responsibilities

  • Prepare learning solutions, including detailed learning objectives, evaluation strategies, organisation of proposed content, planning the look and feel, creating/writing/curating content, and developing final materials.
  • Support learning outcomes by planning and deploying techniques and communications to enhance facilitators' success in delivering the learning solution.
  • Adopt a continuous improvement and process efficiency approach, contributing to the refinement and improvement of processes, templates, methodologies, and systems.
  • Provide project direction and briefings to both internal and external resources working on the project, proactively engaging with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to effectively manage and meet project milestones.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder relationships and expectations, educating them as needed, and escalating issues and risks as required.

Criteria:

  • Experience in the design and development of learning (minimum 2 years).
  • Experience with eLearning authoring tools, such as Lectora and Captivate (desired).
  • Experience in instructional design of blended learning solutions and design methodologies.
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with subject matter experts to develop clear and practical learning materials across a wide range of complex topics.
  • Project management experience.
  • Vendor management experience.
